The Department of Health and Human Values at Davidson College invites applications for a two-year visiting assistant faculty position in public health beginning in July 2019. Candidates are expected to be highly committed to excellence in both undergraduate teaching and scholarly research. We encourage applications from candidates in all fields of public health. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or Dr. PH by Fall 2019.
The successful candidate will teach five lower and upper level courses, including Introduction to Public Health, Introduction to Global Health, Epidemiology, and electives that reflect the candidate’s scholarly interests. The candidate may also assist in mentoring senior thesis projects in public health. Particular (though non-essential) strengths include a scholarly focus on and teaching experience with topics such as: health policy, global health, public health ethics, social determinants of health, health disparities, and health behavior.
