Davidson College invites applications for a full-time, 3-year visiting position (rank open) in modern Jewish history or cultures to complement our existing offerings in Jewish literature and thought. We especially seek scholars whose research explores Jewish and diasporic identities or Jewish life in the US. Teaching duties will depend on expertise and will include both introductory and advanced courses. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring, will have a PhD in hand by August 1, 2019 and will be housed in the appropriate academic department at Davidson.
