Coordinate the wide variety of functions of the office of Central Services, Mail Services and the campus USPS Contract Post Office. Management and training of the three staff.
Manage Central Services and Campus Post Office programs, providing strategic support and supervision of employees. Perform counter duties for the contract post office, augmented by permanent staff and work study students.
Staff the contract station window with the help of work-study students.
Attend USPS continuing education to stay current with rules and regulations of the US Post Office. Maintain stamp stock and shipping supplies. Operate and maintain package software system. Process and distribute incoming student packages. Perform daily closing and deposit to USPS.
Administrative management of the two operations (Post Office and Central Services)
Supply ordering for copy/print operation, office supplies, and shipping supplies for FedEx and UPS; working with Business Services to make weekly cash deposit. Perform accounts payable function by verifying and approving invoices before entering in Banner and uploading to OnBase software. Maintain computer database of records and charges related to Central Services for chargeback system with Controller’s Office.
Supervise staff in campus copy/print shop and mail services including the USPS contract station.
Supervise, train, cross-train, and evaluate Central Services’ staff on an on-going basis. Assist employees with their responsibilities when needed in copy services, mail metering, mail route and end-of-day dispatch.
HS/GED; At least 3 years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience. Associate's degree in Business; Knowledge of USPS regulations, policies and procedures is preferred. Computer proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Internet navigation. Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
